Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-30T04:38Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-03-30T04:38:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: S20E70
Active Region Number: 14048
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Faint CME seen to the southeast in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2; it is partially obscured by the pylon in C3, but its western edge is seen in SOHO LASCO C3. The source of it is likely an eruption with a very minor ejecta seen in SDO AIA 304/131/193 and GOES SUVI 284 at 2025-03-30T04:07Z just southwest of AR 4048 (S20E70) as post-eruptive arcades and small area dimming. The associated flare is a C3.5 flare observed in GOES-S, not in GOES-P, due to an eclipse.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

It looks like there is significant southern deflection, since the associated flare is from south of Active Region 4048 that is at latitude of 16 degrees south.
